What is your plan

Today was pretty much like any other. I woke up without an alarm clock, went and put out the dog to go to the bathroom. It was sunny. Andrew and I made breakfast tea and spent the rest of the morning reading sport headlines and I giggled about how excited Andrew was for baseball season to start (Chicago Cubs pitchers and catchers reported for spring training this morning). So, after making his lunch and sending him off to work I checked my facebook and received a message from an ex-boyfriend (yes you still can be friends after), who I talk to from time to time. After the Hi, how are you? He randomly asked me "how much work do you have to do"? I asked, "Today"? He replied, "yes." I told him, "I have some calls to make later today. I only have to work 7-10 hours a week, but sometimes I choose to do more." The reaction was "must be nice." So I thought to myself, what would he like to do if money wasn't an issue so I asked him, "If you made a million a year what would you do?" He said, "Have a family and spend as much time as I could with them." I followed up with the question "So, what is your plan, and how are you going to make this happen?" His answer was, "Finish med school, " I don't have a problem with anyone who wants to be a doctor, we all need them. So I asked, "How much is that going to cost you? Money and time?" Then I continued to say, "You know, you can make more money then a doctor can, in less time it will take you to finish med school. Would you ever think about changing your plan?" From someone who is always quick to have an negative thought or rebuttal, he had nothing to say, but I bet he is thinking about it now. Have you ever thought about changing your plan?
Could plan "b" be better then what you are doing now. Maybe its time to look for a plan "c" and make it plan "A"
